MALAYSIA CUP 2010 PREVIEW MATCH DAY 4

SELANGOR, Negri Sembilan, Sabah and Johor FC looks most likely to earn their Malaysia Cup quarter-final berth when all four headed their respective group convincingly after the first round. They will likely to join in with Kelantan, Kedah, T-Team and Kuala Lumpur unless these four teams did not face any hiccups in the coming fixtures along the way.

In Group A, Kelantan must win against Negri Sembilan at Paroi Stadium to stay on course but if Selangor PKNS win against  KL Plus and Kelantan lose or draw then the match between Kelantan against Selangor PKNS will decide the fate between the two teams.

In Group B, Kuala Lumpur face a daunting task when they travel to meet Sabah. With good home record Sabah unlikely to give away the three points. If Sabah defeated Kuala Lumpur then Terengganu stand a very good chance but first they need to win against Pahang.

In Group C, leaders Johor FC travel to Alor Setar to meet Kedah. A draw would benefit both team but if Armed Forces win against Perak then it will a straight three teams fight.

While in Group D, Super League champions Selangor travel to Kuala Terengganu to face second place T-Team. A win or a draw was enough for K.Devan to confirm their quarterfinal ticket. But Perlis must win against Felda United to have any chance for the second spot and the match between those two will decide their fate.

NEGRI SEMBILAN STAY ON COURSE TOPPED GROUP A WITH 7 POINTS

GROUP A - 1ST ROUND REVIEW
NEGRI SEMBILAN headed Group A with seven points from three matches and they needed a win at Paroi against Kelantan to avoid clash Group D leaders the newly crown Super League Champions, Selangor in the quarter-final of the Malaysia Cup.

The defending champions defeated PKNS Selangor 2-1 in their last game at MPPJ Stadium to notch their second wins after a 1-1 draw against KL Plus at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium in Paroi played earlier. Kelantan  currently in the second spot with 5 points from 1 win and 2 draws.

Negri and Kelantan looks most likely to qualify for the quarter-final but the Eastcoast side need to overcome Negri Sembilan to take the top spot to avoid facing mighty Selangor when the Malaysia Cup resume back in two weeks time.
