KELANTAN and JOHOR FC looks likely to enter the 63rd Malaysia Cup Finals judging from the results in their 1st leg semi-final. Both teams are playing at their home ground in front of their home fans and this could be another huge factor for them comes tomorrow night.
For the Red Warriors after a scoreless draw in Alor Setar their record at Sultan Muhammad Stadium during the Malaysia Cup campaign in four matches they won 2, draw 1 against KL Plus and only lost to Negri Sembilan 1-0. But the Reds could be in trouble of crashing out if Kedah score or Kelantan win 2-1 or draw 1-1 still it was not good enough. So they need to win without giving away any goal for the Canaries.
Meanwhile Kedah are in exactly the same situation as Selangor in the quarterfinals and could they have the same fate as the K.Devan's men when they were brought down crushing with one of their worst display of the season. Surely Ahmad Yusof will be aware and do not let that sort kind of tragedy happened to his side.
While Johor FC, they have the upper hand against the defending champions Negri Sembilan after their 1-0 win at Paroi. Again still, the only club side in the semi-finals they too could jeopardise their chances if the Deers score and balance up the tie. For Negri they badly need a goal to save the match or at least hang on for longer period maybe to another extra 30 minutes if the match ended 1-0 in Negri favour or on penalty kicks.
Negri coach former national and Johor player Wan Jamak Wan Hassan makes a return to his homestate needs all his experience and psychological expertise to convince and settle any issues in the team (if they had) and focus hard towards this one match. The mother of all their matches so far.
For Johor FC they need all the support they could get especially from their fans to boost their morale and confidence to hang on their slender 1-0 lead. They certainly will soaked in tremendous amount pressure from the Negri side who will not easily surrender the title which they won last year. Thus being humiliate by a club side. A loss meant a major overhaul in the Negri camp for the next season.
