TAKEN FROM MY LAST YEAR MALAYSIA CUP FINAL PREVIEW

AS a true blue football fan, before as a player and now as coach. I never gave up on this game. I've sacrifice my studies with hope and dream to be a successfull footballer one day but that never came by. Yes indeed I'm an Arsenal fan and enjoy watching the EPL but it doesn't mean I have no interest in our local football.

NEGRI SEMBILAN BEWARE OF THE BEES - MATCH PREVIEW 2

MATCH PREVIEW 2

DEFENDING champions Negri Sembilan could fall into their own trap if they treat the southern club side Johor FC lightly in first leg of the Malaysia Cup semi-final at Paroi Stadium tomorrow night. The Deers looks far much superior than their opponent in terms of the quality of players. But Johor FC made it up with their hard running workman like approach in their game that brought them to this stage so far.

NEGRI SEMBILAN MADE INTO THE MALAYSIA CUP SEMI-FINAL

DEFENDING Malaysia Cup champions, Negri Sembilan maintain their fine form when they brushed aside Perlis 3-1 in the second leg quarterfinal match to advance into the semi-final on 4-1 aggregate in Kangar last night.

Perlis hopes of getting an early goal in the match to cancel out their loss at Paroi was disrupted in the 24th minute when the visitor took a shock lead. Shukur Adan drive in powerful a free kick which struck the wall. Perlis goalkeeper, Suhardy Alby dives to make the save but fails to grasp the ball cleanly. The ball bounce towards Abdul Halim Zainal who had the easiest task to tap the ball into the net.

WHO WILL MEET KELANTAN IN THE SEMI-FINAL?

KEDAH looks capable to qualify into the semi-final. With the away goals rule on the card their 2-2 draw in the first leg could be the key factor. But Terengganu will come out with gun blazing for they must win the match with all cost to put them through.

If Kedah played the way they did in the first leg then the semi-final is theirs. With due respect to Terengganu they was indifferent form in that match but if they could raise their game then it will be an explosive and exciting one. For the record the Turtles played much better in away match. So both Kedah and Terengganu fans keep your finger cross.

PERLIS SEDIA GEMPUR - NEGERI SEMBILAN INGIN TERUS MARA

KEDAH MEMBARA - TERENGGANU TERDESAK

Bagi saingan peringkat suku akhir kedua malam nanti Kedah dilihat punyai kelebihan ke atas pasukan pelawat Terengganu. Dua jaringan gol bekalan selepas bertandang ditempat lawan ditambah bakal beraksi digelanggang sendiri jelas semuaya terjurus kepada skuad bimbingan Ahmad Yusof untuk mara ke separuh akhir.

PAHANG TEKAD - JOHOR FC INTAI PELUANG

TURTLES ON TIGHTROPE

Selangor and Kelantan drew 0-0 pix from Kosmo
TERENGGANU just fails to deliver when it matter most against Kedah in the 1st leg Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Stadium last night. The home side could just manage a 2-2 draw in a hard fought contested match.

The Turtles came twice from behind to avoid defeat and with away goals rule on the card they might see off their chances to advance into the semi-final rather looks slim. But considering their good showing in the run up to qualify for the quarterfinal in two straight away matches they still have a good chance.

Shuhairain celebrate after scoring the winning goal
NEGRI SEMBILAN stay on course to defend their Malaysia Cup title with a 1-0 home win against Perlis in 1st leg Malaysia Cup quarter-final at Tuanku Abdul Rahman Stadium last night.

Substitute Shuhairain Abu Samah notch the winning goal in the 51st minute to give the defending champions hopes in the return leg in Kangar this Saturday.

Despite the win the home side should have easily book their passage but they miss three glorious opportunity to wrap up the match to give the visitor any chances of coming back in the second leg.

In the 21st minute, veteran Ching Hong Aik who was unmarked came in perfectly from the blind side but fail in his attempt to connect captain's Rezal Zambry Yahya free-kick.
