Selangor and Kelantan drew 0-0 pix from Kosmo
TERENGGANU just fails to deliver when it matter most against Kedah in the 1st leg Malaysia Cup quarterfinal match at Sultan Ismail Nasiruddin Stadium last night. The home side could just manage a 2-2 draw in a hard fought contested match.

The Turtles came twice from behind to avoid defeat and with away goals rule on the card they might see off their chances to advance into the semi-final rather looks slim. But considering their good showing in the run up to qualify for the quarterfinal in two straight away matches they still have a good chance.

While Kedah scoring two goals in an away match could be very useful if in the second leg the match ended in a draw. They just needed to hold their ground in the second leg to secure a place in the semi-final.

Kedah shock the home side when they took a 1-0 lead in the 28th minute through Badrul Bakhtiar strike. But Terengganu left it late in the first half to draw level through Joseph Kallang Tie in the 38th minute.

Midway in the second half the visitor were back in the lead through Mohd Fikry Mohd Isa in the 58th minute but the Turtles never say die attitude saw them furiously clawed their way back to snatch an important equaliser through Mohd Firdaus Mohd Faudzi in the 68th minute.

In Shah Alam Stadium, it was an explosive encounter with Selangor drew 0-0 against Kelantan  which saw both team sees a red as striker Norsharul Idlan Talaha dan defender P.Gunalan were given their marching order  for fighting.

Both team will played the second-leg in Kota Bharu on Friday which could decide their fate.

Meanwhile Johor FC maintain their fine form at home with a 1-0 win against Pahang. Khairy Kiman scored the winning goal in the 60th minute for the only club side left in the quarterfinals.
