FRIDAY THE 15TH - WHO WILL TRIUMPH KELANTAN OR SELANGOR

COME this Friday Kelantan will host Selangor in the Malaysia Cup second-leg quarterfinal at Sultan Muhammad IV Stadium with both teams will lock horn to decide which team will advance into the semi-final after a scoreless draw in the first-leg at Shah Alam.

The Malaysia Cup is only just at the quarterfinal stage but the excitement and thrills provided by both teams die hard fans is more a less like a cup final and it could have been even better. Even in the social network service-face book, the war of messages between the two fans are boiling up every second.

For Selangor the most successful sides in the Malaysia Cup history with 32 wins is still hungry for more after four years lapse which last they won in 2005. While Kelantan is still feeling the pain of their 3-1 defeat to Negri Sembilan in the last year cup final still fresh in their mind.

Tonight match surely will be watch by all the Malaysian football fans throughout the country between  The Red Warriors and The Red Giants epic clash. As expected  a sell out crowd  with thousands will be flocking into the stadium. The Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), Kelantan FA and the Police together with the Federal Reserve Unit (FRU) will be taking extraodinary measures and working hard to provide all the necessary safety precaution to avoid any untoward incident involving both sets of fans.

For tonight match Selangor need to score. If they did then Kelantan will be in danger of missing the cut with the away goals rule. Even a 1-1 or 2-2 draw will see Selangor through.Kelantan need to hold their ground and not making any costly errors which could be fatal. If they can hold the visitor then they have a great chance.

Kelantan will definitely miss the services of striker Norshahrul Idlan Talaha upfront after his red card in the first leg but they still have enough ammunition in the likes of Hairuddin Che Omar, Akmal Rizal, Indra Putra Mahyuddin and Norfarhan to do the job.

Selangor will be banking on Safie Saliee and Amirulhadi Zainal upfront who still not in their best of form could do K.Devan side a great favour with a much better display and such will be a bad news for the home side.

The match will be much more exciting that this is the only second-leg quarterfinal match being played tonight. While the other three matches will only start on Saturday. With the Commonwealth Games just concluded last night and with no English Premier League and La Liga as well everything will be focus on this match.

For sure this match will be watched closely by two head coaches - Ahmad Yusof of Kedah and  Terengganu's Irfan Bakti in Alor Setar with great interest. For the winner in tonight match will be their likely opponent in the semi-final.

An explosive encounter is on the card with little to separate between those two. Its certainly lift to its billing as Super Friday. So stay put and do not miss a second at your television with Astro Arena showing it live tonight. May the best team wins. Stay tune.
